Dave Bray USA performing live at the 2021 Thin Blue Line Ball
The single most important objective for the Thin Blue Line Ball is to allow fellow blue families to say goodbye to all who have fallen. The only authorized uniforms that evening are on the honor guard and pipes and drums band. All attendees are in formal attire (suit, tux, Sunday attire) as we are all simply blue family. Patches and rank mean nothing while we are all there. Brother/sisterhood and honoring sacrifice is why we are there.
2026 wil represent the 9th annual Thin Blue Line Ball. The event has grown from 160 to over 850 in 2021. The Thin Blue Line Ball has grown beyond anyone's expectations, however, with the growth we also realized something very important. As the crowd grew larger; the intimacy of the night grew smaller. It is for this reason we have decided to place a cap on attendance, and move the ball back to a smaller, more cozy, venue. While we are confident the Thin Blue Line Ball became one of the largest multi-agency/multi-state formal law enforcement galas in the Great State of Texas; we also had to remember why the ball was started. to begin with. To honor and celebrate. We are looking forward to getting back to our roots providing an intimate evening for those joining us.
Each year we design a custom challenge coin for the event that is free with admission. We are continuing that tradition in 2026 as well.
After the opening ceremony we progress to the emotional, yet essential, memorial ceremony. We have the honor of having the Ft. Worth Pipes & Drums band playing during the ceremonies. From there we move into award presentations and a heartfelt and well deserved spouse ceremony honoring those who sacrifice along with us. This ceremony has been widely anticipated as we turn the tables on our LEO brothers/sisters. During this ceremony you will pin your spouse with the custom 2026 Spouse pin. Since our spouses are always pinning us in our careers we felt it appropriate to let them know what it feels like for an evening. After that we enjoy dinner and eventually......it's a party. We having a professional DJ supplying the music and a casino night set up and ready for non-award earning fun. All that with a free LEO raffle, silent auction, and a custom 2026 TBLB challenge coin!
